[Scammed] Paypal Refund - When?

    I was informed from eBay about a fraudulent product i purchased and i acted quickly by filing a claim and i also sent paypal stuff an email concerning the transaction.

    When will i get my balance restored? The seller is not an ebay registered user anymore so he was definitely a scammer,so y waste any time contacting a possibly fake email and make any investigations.Whole transaction was a scam, just get my money already.I'd hate to have them contact me saying something like,"we couldn't withdraw the money cause we were busy investigating the claim for several days,...."

    Does the category of the item make any difference?I'm just curious i'm not being sarcastic.

    Item is a bluetooth headset, which means electronics.

    @rome
    How shall he reply he's not even a registered member anymore,he made a run for it.I just hope he didn't somehow withdraw or spent the money.Anyway i guess I'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.

    Do you guys advise me to do anything extra instead of just keep waiting?

    BTW will with the refund the money return to my bank account,or will they be stored as paypal balance?Because if its the first then i can withdraw them from the bank, but if it's the other then i have to spend them on an item.

    There is no guarantee that u will get your money back even after winning the dispute, the guy may have transfered money to other paypal account and withdrawn from there.

    Unfortunately nothing you can do. When you were noticed by ebay that you bought a "fraudulent item" (how many days after you paid for it???)

    Nothing you can do but wait to see what paypal will do. Most likely your money is gone, sorry to say.

    Like 6 days.I paid 6/6/08 and i got the email from eBay at 12/6/08 .I mean cmon could this idiot have transfered all the money and have nothing left? And y are these paypal monsters waiting for a whole week to take action?I mean its a clear theft,it's not a dispute so they need to hear what he has to say?

    And thing is i have the basic account and i'm using their services for free so its not like a have any right to scream at them.If i had a premium account and i paid for paypal services,i would take legal action if they left me hanging for a week waiting response from a user that has gone "poof".

    I think you won´t get anything here in this case. I once paid a guy and after a day I didn´t heard back from him I filled a dispute and also won it, but the other guy transfered all the money before and so I didn´t get back a cent.

    Even if your account would have been premier or business there wouldn´t be anything like legal action against PayPal

    It was about 300$ for a mobile phone. 10 days after the payment was done I won the dispute, but they also told me they can´t refund me because there is no money left in the account

    When did that happen, and was that from ebay or from outside?

    Cause I've been told from ebay boards that the policy has now changed (in the last year) and once you win the dispute there is no way you lose the money you are eligible.

    You are right. I forgotten to add this point. It was outside of ebay. But you wrote you bought from ebay so there is special buyer protection so there is a REALLY good chance you will get back the money from ebay but not PayPal
