Hi guys! I need to design a medical logo. My client requires that I use a symbol on the logo. I would appreciate any suggestion. Thanks!
Well, the most obvious is the medical caduceus. If that's too ordinary, and depending on what kind of project you're making, you can use a barber pole, (this was one of the first symbols for blood letting, or leeching), or the staff of Hermes, the Arabian crescent, The red cross, a really cool or glossy RX, the star of life, etc... (I used to be a combat medic...)
While not really a "symbol", abstract sweeps and arcs tend to work well with health/medical branding. I guess it symbolizes healthy/carefree living, which is an important image to convey.
try istockphoto.com with searches for 'health icon', 'medicine icon' etc hope it will help you with ideas
Actually, that's a pretty good idea. A lot can be done with a stethoscope - like wrapping part of it around text, or intertwining it into the name somehow.
The stethoscope idea is really bright, and a red plus is not for a medic, its actually for redcross society
I know it's not for a Medic, neither are most of those suggestions. I used to wear a white cross, and a CMB. I was just stating that those symbols were what I could think of from my experiences as a medic...
I have been thinking of using a stethoscope. One that would resemble a heart. I have found a similar think here http://www.theobjectworks.com/portfolio/images/Stethoscope for Web.jpg.
really ? Are you a Medico? I dont see much of them on such type of forums.Webmaster kind of thing is something odd to them. and me being the other one. I always had a technical instinct,a techie, but ended being a medical professional, finished my medical school graduation recently. Bored? Yeah i know, but i just wanted to yell it out.
