Google SERP'S

If you started a website shortly after the last page rank update, but the web site is indexed now, will you show up in the SERPS still or do you have to wait for the next PR update before you show up in the SERPS?

My site is a year old, and have been trying to get backlinks to my site. It is indexed by google, but I am not even in the top 100, in fact, I cant find my site ANYWHERE in the search results.

    Any comments?

Google update PR internally and incoporate that into the search results everyday.

They only export a historical snapshot of that PR to the toolbar every 3-4 months.

You do not have to wait until the next export of that internal PR to show up in the SERP's as its already been factored in.

Where did you that rubbish from? Google update them all (except the cache) on a daily continous basis. They just export a snapshot of some of the data periodically for us to see. THATS NOT AN UPDATE! (the update has already happened and incoporated into the results when we get to see the export)

    You have your point.

Do not care how long Google is going to keep any data.
No matter G want to keep data for a month or 3 months or 100 years. They all are same.
G even can recall 6 months old data if they want.
As I am a final user so when what I see changes I still call them "update".
