Good luck! Honestly, in my opinion it is way better to market websites, get a few thousand people coming every day and then sell the website for a high profit... its what I do
Exactly...I mean a site making $2/day for 30 days could be sold for $600 to the right buyer. That's it! 2 freaking dollars. In most niches, that's no more than 8 clicks.
at 18 I made my first 10k and at 19 I made my first 100k. I didn't find my age to matter much what I found to be the hardest thing was starting out. I didn't have money for servers or anything like that I could barley afford my domain name. After I made a little bit of money I would re-invest it into my websites. This is a problem for most people. They make the money and go spend it when if they just re-invest it they could be making a whole lot more. As long as you have goals and stick to them 15k will be no problem.
Well month after month I was making more and more with my sites and the more I made the more I would invest in advertising. So it came to a point where I was advertising 2k+ a month but was bringing in 10-13k. It was more then a full time job though to make that much. You have to spend countless hours researching advertising schemes, trying to build inbound links, trying to stay one step ahead of your competitors and so on. It's easy to bring in 2k a month or less but anything after that you really have to work hard for it. Keep up with the fads those are huge money makers if you hop on the train before it takes off. For example the myspace support site craze was a good fad to hop on now it seems to be fight and viral video sites. These sites usually get really big really fast and then after a few months of great wages you will see the site start to drop off and eventually go lower and lower. The trick is to build the site up and know when to sell it. Most people sell the sites when it starts to drop in revenue, that's a mistake. You should sell it while the revenue is still on the uprise. Not only will you get more money for the site your buyer will also be happy. These are just a few tricks but there are so many more when it comes to making good money. Like I said though it will be more then a full time job to keep up with everything.
Were you aiming for $15,000 a month? $50 a day is only $1500 a month so would be out by a factor of 10...
great goal... i think you can do it. as long as you have a ton of original content, making $5/day shouldnt be too difficult. doing that over 10 different sites might get harder. good luck man, keep us updated.
I'm starting work on similar stuff. Its going to be interesting. Try targeting higher paying keywords as then you'll need less traffic for your earnings to reach what they are now
SEO = search engine optimization Not too many sites have made it big without search engines. If you can climb to the top of google for a large niche then you will make some serious cash. SEO is one of the most important things in this business.
Thanks, yes search engine optimization is bull. I'm convinced now. Search engine technology is way beyond that.
How do you figure? Sure a lot of things are out of our control but there is still things you can do. For example you can optimize your title tags and work on your inbound links etc.
after making $50 a day why would u sell the sites? Just keep them, and you'll be making around 20 grand a year. Maybe sell one of them, so u could reinvest in some more sites. (Building a site from scratch costs like 10 bucks if you already have hosting). If you do the same thing, again you'll be making $100 a day... around 40 grand a year. but, if you want to sell the sites anyways. I'd be happy to buy one of your content sites thats making a few bucks a day
Just $15,000 one time...that's plenty for a 17 year old. I'd rather just collect the cash now, get a sweet ride, and enjoy the last remaining years of my true freedom in life. I'll let you know if I got a content site making like $5/day available...the price would be about $1,500 if it didn't require updates, and made a consistent $5/day.
