Alright DP's I've got a problem and I figured I'd ask the experts. So I've been link building around the clock for the past two months and now my wrists are just killing me. I'm so scared of even thinking about the dreaded carpal tunnel syndrome but I got all the symptoms already. So what ergonomic products do you guys use? Any that you could recommend? I'm from Canada so I'd need the product to be shipped here or local pickup. Any help would be muchly appreciated!! Thanks
This has happened to me before after a brief period of high computer use. I found that just taking a break every so often did me a world of good.
I WIIISSHH! I'm in an office so co-workers don't really want to hear my booming voice but for at home I could try it out, have you used it is it good?
Just go to your local pharmacy and get wrist splints and wear those 24/7. Also take an anti-inflamatory like aspirin. That should help
Change your posture so your arms aren't in an extended position and your elbows are close to your body, use a soft-padded wrist-rest and take a break every 20 minutes, although by the sounds of things this may be too little, too late.
I suggest you to do medical checkup. I don't think people here can do right diagnose on your condition now. Lots of people here are the best in SEO and surely not in medical thing. So you should go to the doctor, don't make any delay.
if you're wrists are hurting you're already FRACKED. only thing you can do now is try to keep the pains from coming back, but they will anyways. I use a microsoft ergonomic keyboard and mouse. they seem to have helped my wrists from not hurting as much. keyboard has a split in the middle of it. I also have a logitech ergonomic laser mouse that I could sell you.
I am having same problems with my right one. It has been little better but it was hurting too much but I had to work anyway because. It still hurts when I use the Mouse. But I have been trying from left arm to use the mouse. I think I have to know the limit of my capabilities. When I use from right, I try to move less, slowly and it works without any meds.
I don't have an ergonomic keyboard. What I do is under my mouse wrist, I have 2 books. I had to play around with the height to get it right, and the position of the books is important as well. I have one book under my left. When my wrists are really bothering me, I try to sleep with the wrist splints, but always end up taking them off. I also find that sleeping with a pillow under both arms, from the elbow down helps too.
Although the best step will be going to doctor for suggestions but if you want to collect some info about treatment of this syndrome which you are suspecting then go through this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpal_tunnel_syndrome#Treatment I wish that you may get all your answers from here. Get well soon
I had same problem.. not its getting much better. Try not to lift heavy stuffs, give it a rest for few days. Try to heal it by itself. Believe I had same problem and it got well by itself. It still hurts little bit when I lift things but otherwise no problem. good luck and you can take some medical advices as well.
Just a tip, I would go against buying it, you need to have an extremely clear voice and yell into it unless you buy like a $100 head phone with microphone . Daniel
thanks everyone for their helpful tips i really appreciate it did some research on my own and was told that one of the best ergonomic products is a bowling guard! Who would've thought? It's got the plastic ridge that elevates your wrist and keeps it straight so might have to go to the bowling alley to pick one up. As for taking a break.. that's not going to happen I gotta keep building me some links! hehehe
