Helpppp!!!

    Hi,
    my new dedi just came in, and its all setup..
    BUT.. i don't know how to install what i need...
    can someone please write a detailed post or something to install

    Apache
    PHP
    MySQL
    Perl
    Python
    FTP
    and the Control Panel VHCS OR ispCP (isp-control.net)
    this would be very much appriciated!

    If you are unclear about the installation, I got suggest get a easy to install and use controlpanel for eg Cpanel or Directadmin, that will solve all the installation problems and provide you an easy interface to manage your server.

    You can try http://www.ispconfig.org/ it is quite good and should be able to install with some trial and error, but definitely not as simple as cpanel or DA

    You should google for "LAMP server install" as LAMP stands for Linux Apache Mysql PHP

    Read up a bit on SSH. Your server must already support it and it's the most efficient, secure and inexpensive way to manage your server.

    There's a learning curve involved, but there's plenty of help available on the Internet and the effort will go a long way.
