Pizza

I'm not into mushrooms because they don't have a strong taste. really they don't taste like anything, it's just the texture they add.

 

you're just not using "the right" schrooms!

 

Yeah true. Opt for the wild or pscylobin variety, plenty of flavor and visuals.

This thread was made for me - would like think i ate more than my fair share of pizza

Its the easily the most flexible, filling and beautiful food ever.....

Usually start with like meatlovers pizza and modify it:
Mid crust - not too thin it cant support the topping and not thick and doughy
But prefer a smokey BBQ sauce
Add as many different types of meat as possible plus add tender marinated chicken and prawns
Have at least 2-3 different cheeses and plenty of it
garlic, splash of olive oil, fresh mixed herbs, onion, mushrooms/olives (optional), sundried tomatoes and anchovies

Cut into huge pieces with the cheese falling off it, serve with garlic bread and coke or ice cold beer

Alternatively(if dont like bbq) go for traditional tomato sauce for base and use a second sauce on top and apply in large rings like sweet honey mustard or mild satay sauce to bring all the flavours together.

You must be using the canned mushrooms

 

I strongly discourage using mushrooms of any kind.

Okay. I have never tried dcristo's kind of mushrooms, so I can't comment on those.

 

I want my pizza to be over exaggerated with cheese! Thick crust would be good and lot of meat. YUmmm!!!

 

I'm easy. Crispy crust and pineapple.

I like pizza with grilled chicken, pineapple, caramelized onion and cheese (obviously)

I do like a couple of beers prior to pizza..or a couple of glasses of red...
