About 2 months ago I bought a DUMP of a house to do up and sell. It was totally trashed - but it was so cheap that I couldn't resist. I've done about 3 weeks work on it, and although it still needs a lot more work - I think it's finally starting to look OK. Check out the previous owner's chair in the 'before' photo - this house was FILTHY. Keep in mind this is only one room - the rest of house was equally, if not more disturbing. It was almost like a squat/crack house. Should be a nice little earner
Nice one looks like its coming along nicely. You should take pics of the other rooms before and after also.
Yeah I'm doing that. The other rooms are still pretty much empty, but at least they're clean and tidy now. If that chair is still in existence, I hope it's a million miles from here
Wow, I like the interior. Anyway, how much does it cost for that? I begin to think to do the same to my room.
Good work fella! Its amazing what a good clean up, new paint and a wooden floor will do for any room. Thats the trick with property developing, strip the place back to its bare bones and then create a neutral space for the next buyer to input their own style. None of that design crap that I see some people do by painting a "feature" wall pink or some other ungodly shade of sick. I'll be doing more developing once our market gets out of the gutter and mortgages become easier to get again.
I'm really happy with the floors, those boards (original baltic) are OLD, the house was built in the late 1800s! Apx $1300 for four rooms to have them polished - best money I've ever spent
You're selling it right? once you're done get that masterpiece listed in the site in my signature for free!
Hi, Looks Nice. Question in your area do you get snow? Only reason for asking is that look like a large opening under the door. Where I am at in snow you would have a snow drift on your nice floor. Butterflies Forever Sami
No snow ...Well maybe once every couple of years. I'm planning of fixing that door in the next week or so. There's a still a big list of things that need doing
