Yes you have got the idea. But I think its a little basic. To give you more ideas and such I will give you a little bit of a bio that may help you out. The fan club is about 4 years old now and we had an online presence last year but did not have enough volunteers to help moderate the web site so we had to pull it down and stick with our manual services. Now we have enough volunteers and we would like to establish an online presence again, so starting from scratch we have no design concepts done up at the moment so that is why this contest is here to try to get some kind of an idea to build off. This is why when I say all ideas are open now you might know why.
To up the ante a little bit, I will also make sure that the designers name and website address in posted in the comments section of the fan club site visible to all visitors of the web site!
