buff digs the evil ones :-D _______________________________ 1) mmm flies, it's what's for dinner 2) I think this spider has as many eyes as he does legs! 3) heh, that's not mine 4)it's hard to tell in the B&W version but there's a little white sting thingy....looks like he pooped some floss or maybe that's his rip cord to get out of his old skin
yes! why didn't I think of that just to see if I could pull it off....well actually since I've posted him 4 times already in color....change me fears it bone dry
Change of pace now. No more bugs for a while. It's going from bugs to birds! We bought some seed a couple years ago, finally decided it was time to get rid of it! This is our back patio, right outside our back door. The turtle doves were the first to arrive and usually the last to leave. I thought they were cute @ first but I quickly came to realize that they are the rats of the bird world We eventually had some finches and Cardinals come too, the Cardinals being the most interesting IMO I wanted to make a series out of 25 or so shots I took of this guy but I must have been holding the camera by hand...the frame is not the same throughout the 25.
Quite a few people go dove hunting in TX, what kind I am unsure of though I doubt the turtle variety. It's quite tasty, wrapped with bacon and a jalepeno (and sometimes some shot...bonus!) Senior Cardinal
I don't know if you've ever tried to approach a cardinal in the wild but they are extremely territorial in that, generally if you come within 30' of them they usually take off. So having this guy as close to me as he was, it was neat.
he's all, are you talking to me??? these were all taken without flash, I adapt my flash to shoot through glass in pictures to come. I get all around better lighting when I do so too
