hi there, what i meant to ask was when someone is building links for his/her site then what is the % one should have in mind in terms of target pages for their incoming links... as they say, its always good to have links to your inner pages as well ... one of the sites i am associated with has more than 70% links to inner pages (deep links) is that too much? is there any good % ? Thanks!
If the site is very strong then it is natural to have links to inner pages. But if your site is new - most of the links should focus on the home page- and this helps the inner pages also
Overall picture of the site is really important, hence deeplinking counts a lot. For clients I allways try to have a deep link ratio on between 30-40%. But again, it won't help if your site is poorly build, but if you play your cards, you will earn a lot on it.
