Linking ICICI bank debit card to Paypal

    I am trying to link my ICICI bank ATM/Debit Card to my my paypal account but paypal isn't accepting it. They give the following reason:

    "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."

    Can anyone tell me how to link the DC to paypal account. I know ICICI bank debit cards are accepted by Paypal.

    99% indian debit cards aren't accepted by paypal. Stop trying and get a credit card.

    ICICI Debit cards are VISA electron , and are not valid with Paypal
    Only Credit cards will do your job !

    As per my knowledge, not a single Debit cards will be accepted by PayPal. ICICI Credit cards will be accepted by PayPal not Debit cards.

    You can withdraw using debit card. but can't verify. For that you have to use CC

    icici bank debit cards are visa electron not visa .
    Use Pnb's international atm/debit card, it has mastercard logo and is accepted by paypal.

    Still not assured. Now I have got another debit card from ICICI. This is internatinally accepted Visa debit card. Will that work?

    well its futile to try debit cards at all,,as they dont accept them here.anyways u shud try out a CC and get it verified.

    Hello, its really good to see this statement that pnb's international atm/debit card works with paypal.

    paypal accepted my pnb's card when I tried to add it to paypal and it told me that they have charged $1.95 to my account and I will get a 4 digit code in my card statement.

    But I am not getting that 4 digit code in my card statement.

    Can you please help me a bit that what do I need to do to get the 4 digit paypal code to confirm my debit card over paypal?

    who says indian debit cards are not allowed i have pnb mastercard and it is working like charm for me..
    you can use any bank debitcard (but have it should be international debit card)..
    if you dont have you can get it in only Rs.500(about $10)

    paypal accepts any card... Its indian banks who restrict their debit cards to be used online, because debit cards are owned by everybody and if they allow it to be used online there will be million troubles and mis uses, so to keep themself on safe side, they dont let online gateways fetch monet from their debit card facility.

    as i was going through.. its looks likely that icici bank dont support paypal.. bt still i have one query.. few of you said that paypal dnt accept icicibank debit cards because they are visa electron.. but i have icici debit card with mastercard logo.. what now, is their anyway i can use it with paypal to pay and recive funds aswell..
