Maybe it's just me, but I would be too piss scared to post on a marijuana forum when I know that the FBI could obtain forum IPs from your host. Is there a disclaimer or footer note you can put to let people know you're hosting off-shore and that hypothetical talk of using drugs is legal?

Well, I didn't know it was legal to openly talk about marijuana...and maybe a lot of others don't as well. Perhaps gauge if a lot of other prospective people feel the same way and see if a notice that your forum is 100% legal to use is necessary? After hearing news story after news story about DEA raids, people tend to become a bit paranoid.

Anyways, I was considering creating a blog, and using it to improve seo to my site, but I am not sure how to go about it, should I host it on my site, example chronicforum.com/blog or should I use a free service like blogger and just write the articles and recipes there, and link to my site or something?
I'd host it on your site, and have a link at the end of each post to a dedicated forum thread for discussions, rather than allowing people to comment on the blog directly. Might get some conversation going.

Get a keyword list of the top 100 keywords stoners search for - grow tips, bongs, whatever. Write articles and post them on your blog then build backlinks to your blog. Once your articles start getting rankings you can point these visitors to your forum. You will get new members every day. You can also write marijuana related articles and submit to Ezinearticles. Include your forum at the end in your author signature. Comment on marijuana related blogs and forums.
Maybe you can have a section for cops....Get affiliate links to stuff cops like, gun accessories, uniform sites etc....Just an idea
