I do SEO of a website based on Indian Classical Music streaming website. There are two seasonal based web pages. Now I have to target these pages for some seasonal keywords. I am confused how to target seasonal keywords when it is offseason. (The page will be removed & also, it wont be linked from the website). I suggested to prepare a static index page which has a few information about it & then whenever the seasonal page is live, we shall link from home page as well from the index page but then client gave a logical reason for not agreeing upon it. According to them, the seasonal pages will have few audio & videos based on season, but the static page will not have any audio or video & thus it will be of no interest to visitor. I am confused & require a help from SEO experts. Please Help!
Is there no one to answer my question. Or this question is not understood. Please i need the answer urgently.
I don't understand the question - (not that I'm an SEO expert) I don't see why you wouldn't leave the web page up - I can think of several reasons why the page would be useful to "some" even in the off-season.
Firstly thanks for replying. As is said the page is about the seasonal ragas and can be interest to visitor only during season. During the offseason, these ragas do not interest visitor so it is made off.
SO you want to create 2 pages which can work for all the season? Well, I didn't see any site which working for only there season, I think you should add some more pages which can be interesting for people for all the time.
For seasonal seo, You can create more pages in your exiting website and promote them on seasonal keywords. Put all these link on your index page also for user friendly navigation with some seasonal images.
Ok let me explain you... The site has two seasonal ragas: Spring & Monsoon. So definitely there are two web pages spring.html & monsoon.html under seasonal ragas. When spring season comes, spring.html is made live with all the ragas which visitors can listen. As soon as spring is over, this page is removed means no link from the website but the web page has a message saying that the page was only for spring season & home page links. The same thing happens with monsoon ragas. My simple question is that how to target these two web pages for the keyword seasonal ragas during offseason. I hope now I am very much clear with my question
IF its not relevant when the season is over that doesn't mean that you delete the pages. You just leave the pages there. Then you can chose to not linking anymore to it from the homepage. But you still leave it in your sitemap. And you may include a link in the footer to the category page of that season. And when the season comes again, you will update the existing pages. That's it, just don't remove them.
I'm not Jayson, but a couple reasons would be that they contain information about the ragas that people who may be interested in planning to attend will want to read about before deciding whether to go or not, as well as the educational value such a page could potentially provide. Not only that, but they (should anyway) have links to other pages on your site, preferably through the menu, which interested parties could click on to see what else the site has to offer.
