VideoWorldSearch.com - Video Network Site - $20 BIN!

The time has come for me to clear out some of my sites - I just don't have the spare time to take them to the level they deserve!

Second up for grabs is a great streaming video search engine site. It runs totally on autopilot - you never need to update it. :)

The site is ready to go - just enter your AdSense codes and bring in the traffic! :) Visitors and earnings for the site are minimal, so please take this as a turnkey offer.

    $5 start bid. $2 increments.
    $20 BIN

Payment by PayPal to my verified business account please.

    Good luck! :)

That only applies to full-length episodes on the network. I'm in the UK and can view 95% of the videos listed on the site! :)

I've got some questions though. It seems that the same site was already for sale by someone else on DP. Were you perhaps the buyer? It was going for whole $75 then...

Also, about the script, do you own it? If not where is it from? I've seen something about AOLVideoSearch in the source...

And is VideoWorldSearch.net sold to someone else, still with you or available?

    Thanks

Auction ends 24 hours after original post's timestamp - or when the BIN option is used! :)

I can't remember how much I paid for it originally, but it could have been $75... Just shows how much of a bargain it is then, doesn't it?!? ;) These sort of sites are changing hands for $200-300 over on SitePoint.

The original script was offered by AOL, but as far as I know they're no longer doing that. The script has of course been heavily modified from the basic source.

I don't own the .net version of the domain name.

Maybe they are, but there ought to be a reason why you're selling it for such a bargain. ;)

I see. It seems quite a few similar scripts are using AOL's video search API and I also saw some instructions on dev.aol.com regarding some uses of the script, though indeed I didn't find the script itself. Was it offered under any particular license (open source or something)? I suppose I shouldn't have problems with a heavily modified script... but then again.. I'm no expert on the dread of licensing. :p

Hm well, I'd probably change the domain name of the site to something more unique as I redesign it...

If I win that is, and looks like I've got not much competition. :(

Anyway, is the domain transfer free?

    Thanks

The simple reason is that I am but one man! I have more than 200 sites in my portfolio, and a substantial quantity of undeveloped domains too. I just want to cut the whole lot back to three or four sites, and focus on making them as good as I possibly can! :)

The original script was offered as a demonstration of AOL's API - but it was messy and rather basic. I can find nothing in the source that states a licence, but I would be amazed if there is any kind of issue - after all, there are many more sites made with the same base code!

Also one of the things I was planning on doing! ;)

Well then you should take advantage of the BIN price and end the auction early! LOL...

The domain is registered with GoDaddy, so I can push it free of charge from my GD account to yours.

So why you are not list the site on SitePoint to get more money. I knew that too, exactly same site, if put on DP only can sell for $50, if on SitePoint, the seller will markup $150 and it still get SOLD!, I think the user base is quite different between here and SitePoint.

I don't know why.. I seen sellers selling the same site on both places at the same time, if you buy at sitepoint then cost you $200, if you buy it here then only cost you $50 ( i mean exactly same site, same domain name etc.)

    :D

SOLD to libervisco - thanks! :)

You'll need to register @ GoDaddy for the push - otherwise Namecheap will charge you $9 for the transfer! It's free to get a GD account though...
