Is indexing movie and linking to other site contents legal? I have a forum that embedded some videos from youtube.com using some pictures from other site with source links to them. Now, I just visited this site cinematube.net and it has been shut down and order to pay $1.375 million. I know this site for a long time, they only index movies from other sites, host few of them on their own server and put some Ads on their site.

Yes, as many as they can find. Welcome to the world of Google business. They even went after a man in Germanyhe/Poland(one of two) who had the German extesion of Gmail. Google lost because the man had the domain prior to Gmail and Google being Google. I am just using this as a point of matter to say YES to Google attempting to sue anyone
