suitcase
travel insurance
locks for luggage


Can anybody tell me if I am missing anything?

Credit Card

 

I am only 18 so I am not getting a credit card yet. I could but I would rather not get one yet.

And for the record I hate snickers

 

lol Southampton is very windy as its near the beach

I was just going to get some.

I am wanting to hit the beach with my girl friend while there.
We have never been to the beach together so I this will be nice I am hoping

 

Take camera if you have, to freeze some moments

 

I am getting a digital camera and bring enough memory cards for about 500 pictures.

Also anybody know good methods of amusing yourself for a 9 hour flight?

 

Contrary to popular belief Southampton is quite a civilised place.
I'm sure you'll be able to buy anything you forget.

I just want to make sure I am doing everything right. This is my first trip by myself

 

Southhampton! Is that a holiday or a punishment?

 

Honestly... I wouldn't worry too much. Just pack whatever you would for an extended trip in your home country.

Remember your travellers cheques, currency (Pounds Sterling - none of this shitty Euro stuff). I would avoid using your cell phone for overseas calls - much cheaper to buy phonecards here.

 

Or if your phone accepts it just buy a sim card for one of the UK networks.

 

In plane, you can sleep, eat, watch movies, or the sky from so close, or talk with your GF

That will be a long flight indeed

 

Then I am going to this place , I'll talk all the night with my Girl friend , Just kidding lol .Nice points man !

 

I have some tips on how to make the plane ride go faster and funnier:

1. Wear a jacket that says Bomb Squad on the back
2. Say to the person next to you " whats that ticking sound??"
3. Ask the stewardess if you can have some tape and when she asks
why say " its for my device"
4. Sit in the crash position and when some asks you what you are doing
say, " waiting "
5. Fake a heart attack repeat this every 10 minutes
6. Go to the pilot and say that guy with the machine gun looks suspicious
7. Read magazines that show you how to make bombs and laugh in an evil way

And the best one for last:
Pass a paper around the plane that says " theres a bomb under your
seat "

lol I think I will pass on all of those. I would probably end up in Gitmo and facing terror charges.

For the phone. I have a phone card in which I get 1200 minutes for 10 dollars so a couple of those will work for me.


And Unreal what is wrong with southampton?

 

Southampton's okay... it could be worst you could be going to Portsmouth!

What are you doing there for a month? It's a longtime to spend in one small city...

 

I am visiting some people. So I will be with them for a month.

 

Anything you forget you'll most likely be able to get over here anyway. We don't live in the stone age or something...it's just like the US...
