HostGator does not pay for its leads.

I'm very disappointed after the time and effort I spent promoting their hosting service. After almost 4 months I have not been credited for a single lead yet. I know for a fact I have had several signups.

Don't waste your time. I don't know if its total BS, or they just don't want to pay me or something, but from my experience their affiliate program looks like a big scam.

i know that i have used hostgator from a reseller standpoint and i have not have any problem with them. I recommend he give them a call and speak to someone over there to see what the issue may be. It is either one of 2 possible issues:

    1. He isn't tracking his sources of leads and conversions so it may be possible that what traffic types he is sending really didnt convert.
    2. The may be a problm with the his hostgator affiliate account.

Anything could have happened so I do recommend giving them a call. I am sure HostGator takes their affiliate program seriously and they would help.

I am sure hostgator takes their affiliate program very seriously. They very seriously provide content to use to promote their site. The very seriously send real checks, that are cashed by my very serious bank.

I use them for hosting myself and I cannot remember the last time a site was offline with them as my host, and its been years.

I feel they are as serious with their affiliate program, as they are with their hosting.

The OP should call and see what's up, before coming here and posting they might be a scam.....

    :)

You don't think i've tried? I've emailed, called, and told them what's going on and am given the same response every time; takes about a month for sales to be processed. Well its been 4 months, so why isn't it processed?

I'm not sure what was done. I would hope you did but from your original post it was not clear.

Maybe you have not reached the threshold for them to release payment??

Also did you send in a W-9 form??

This allows them to notify the IRS of your earnings and either of the above issues could be the delay in your receiving payment.

    Peace!
