Well look at that graph, my traffic is terrible. It used to be fairly good; I was getting 150+ uniques a day. But it suddenly dropped about 2 weeks ago. What can I do to improve this? Ive been looking for submission sites to submit to but I cant find any more. Ive considered SEO but I didnt think it would be much use on a Proxy Please help me out.

Il explain more now.. Right, traffic pretty much dies end of July-September. America had a long holiday then a month later the UK has a long holiday. Everyone seems to be back at school/college september time. My proxies are not earning much either! Before i was getting around $5 with adsense, now im getting around $0.40 and thats if im lucky. As a proxy owner you should know that these are a seasonal business therfore you should have other projects to work on in the summer. Ben.
Yeah I know they are seasonal. Its kind of annoying because I only started my proxy about a month ago and ive not really got a return. Im starting a new project shortly. Hopefully this will be more successful. Just need to get a bit more money for hosting and things like that
The reason will be due to summer terms, because of this school pupils, colleges and universities are on break through out summer, this usually finishes like "lolage" said early september to mid september time when proxy traffic will be high again. It will gradually increase from the start of september and probably boom around october-december time. For now i would focus on building backlinks and if you plan on keeping your proxy sites then SEO would do them no harm. Research decent keywords and implement them in to your proxy sites, i did this with one of mine and it proved to be a great success with over 40% of traffic coming from search engines. This means advertising and promoting the proxy sites was not something i had to do instead was something i just did anyways. Anyone got anymore ideas? Those guides were great. My traffic has gone up a bit. But I think Ill have to wait a little longer before I see a huge difference.
I need more ways to promote my site. I have submitted to proxy submission sites and posted in yahoo and google groups.
As people have said promoting it for instant traffic is a waste of time. As people have said you'd be better working with SEO and building back links. Then in the long run you will be earning more than before.
SEO is waste for proxy. Just get proxy marketing services from someone and submit to topsites. You'll get the traffic
SEO is a waste for proxy sites, ok i can see why you would say that however i do have to argue against you here as my proxy site that i performed SEO on was well worth doing so with over 45% of traffic coming from search engines it made advertising and promoting the site much easier. Topsites now they are a waste of time, they make your proxy site look tacky and unprofessional and general do not generate traffic.
