How much does Google make in there share of profit? For example say advertiser is paying 2 cents for click cost on content networks how much does Google Get? Or I guess I should say its how much they pay the publisher then they keep the rest hehee... No really though is there a set percentage on what Google takes?
Well thats a classified information and nobody knows exactly how much it is but what I have heard is that they get 70 % from the advertisers and give 30 % to the publishers
If it's classified information, how would someone who told you know? I really doubt it's that high for Google. They aren't a greedy or evil company. I'm sure it's a little more fair than that- especially considering the fact that cheap publishers still give AdSense clients $0.01 and greater for even the cheapest of clicks.
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/10/21/google-adsense-giving-publishers-average-of-78-revenue-share/ I don't know how accurate the article is, but I think it's in the ball park of 70% to publishers. I do imagine it probably varies from account to account.
It varies with the publisher, I've heard some huge companies that use them get at or near 100%. Generally I think it is under 50%.
Has anyone ever gotten like 6 clicks and be paid less than ten cents? Sometimes its a little strange how all that works out
