Are you aware they have so much oil fields that they haven't even started to explore? Look at the contracts that oil companies have signed with Iraq through USA pressure, much of it is about future exploration and that is the reason USA needs permanent bases.
In most Arab countries when oil gets low in one hole, they simply close it because they don't want to spend money on exploring it when they can go to the next one while Canada is exploring oil from oil sands and it is still profitable.
Try to learn about these things before posting here with your "expert" opinions.

There is more oil in oil shale in the Rocky Mountains than all of Saudi Arabia. You might want to brush up on your geology before you run off at the mouth.

You may not get the rate of return you are looking for. A return to socialist policies from people like Obama may lead to stronger rent control laws.

    Lehman, Citi, WaMu and Wachovia

What is he going to do, pass a law for deflation of prices? I don't think Obama even knows what Socialism is, let alone have a socialist policies. :D

The socialist elites that support Obama like George Soros will help Obama understand socialist policies. Michelle Obama shares a socialist agenda with her husband and was quoted as saying the following:

“The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.”

I like and respect George Soros. I like to call people like us (obviously he is much much more richer than I am), Capitalist-Communist. We live as capitalists since we like the money, power, comfort and we are smart enough to succeed in it but we believe in Socialism and Communism and understand the internal problems of Capitalism.
We also think that social programs are beneficial to us in the long run and more economical than confrontation policies that is followed in USA. Now if some rich people can not understand that it is good and beneficial for them to give up part of their pie for the benefit of the whole capitalist class, then so be it and they have to be convinced otherwise. ;)

The problem is that you don't understand that humans and their ideas is much more complex than little boxes that you are trying to fit them in.

Have you ever heard about Fredric Engels, the guy who was friend and beneficiary of Karl Marx. His family owned factories and he managed one in order to get money to support Marx writings which was predicting destruction of his own class. On the other hand, Marx who was the main theorist of communist movement, in his letters was so upset because when he was exiled from Austria, his wife lost her silver service, a petty Bourgeoisie concern.

Why do you think that George Soros is concerned with social issues? Do you think he doesn't have enough money so he is trying to establish welfare system and free health care, so he can get some?
