Times are getting tough. The economy has lost 50,000 jobs per month this year and 1.5 million more people are collecting food stamps.

27.88 million Americans were receiving food stamps as of March. USDA estimates enrollment will average 27.98 million people in fiscal 2009 at a cost of $40.3 billion.

But hey as long as we can "fight them over there" right? The idiot Bush is a moron for he has fallen right in the trap of Bin Laden whom already said that he will bankrupt America and by the looks of it the bastard is succeeding. We have a far more severe kind of war here at home as opposed to the BS "war on terror" that Bush and his neocon traitor friends have been selling to us all, if the empire will fall it will be from within, just look at the condition this country is in. Pathetic! What the hell happened. The moment this ass hole Bush came into the office everything has gone down hill ever since. This is one cursed motha***r!

The monetary costs of WW2 and the Korean War combined were almost double the costs of the two gulf wars. The first Iraq War only cost 7 billion so we can average them out.

The real problems is the US are the 750 billion trade deficit and pork barrel/entitlement spending. Going back to the 1960/1970s liberal policies is no solution.

Not if you include pre and post spending. Somewhere between Gulf war I and Gulf war II, the Pentagon "lost" over a trillion dollars.

Edit, my bad. It was $2.3 trillion that went missing.

Everyone still feeling warm and fuzzy about the government managing it's finances properly? Anyone ready to hand over nationalized health care to them? ;) :D

This is just the start, the situation gets much worse. For those who are interested to make money, it is beginning to be a good time to pick up rental properties in USA. People always need a place to live and with a low prices of real estate you can get a decent rate of return. ;)

    The situation is completly different
Today we can print money , we can borrow
Today the gov can put $ 600 on your bank acccount, This is virtual money
The unemployment was 25 % under the depression, today only 5.6 %

They calculated unemployment much more honestly then.

If this will become a Depression, we are only in the earliest phases. 25% unemployment didn't hit until the Depression was a couple years in IIRC.

As far as printing money, it's the problem. It was the problem during the Depression. Printing money is not creating wealth. It's diluting wealth.

The US presence is going to be there to insure that some other middle eastern nutball country does not try to overtake Iraq and destabilize their new country.

We have a constitutional obligation to protect democracy.

The same way that they are protecting democracy in south America by establishing killing squads and training them in torture methods.

Your claims are becoming so ridiculous that it is not even funny any more.

Do you realize that more US troops die in non-military combat? Do you realize that more people die in US cities, like Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, every day than die in Iraq?

Did you realize that more people die every day from drunk drivers in the US than die in Iraq?

Your argument is completely asinine at best.

The US is stable, and troops still die here.

Crime is under control in major US cities, yet cops still die.

Fires are brought under control, but fire fighters still die.

We're not seeing troops die in large numbers from large scale attacks. We are seeing random acts of violence, and the occasional rocket or IED attack.

Why is it still sunny in Iraq? Why is it still hot in Iraq? Why is the sky blue. How lone is a piece of string.

Did you sign up here to amuse me?
