Jesus is a GOD (Grandfather Of Destruction). Mother Mary is a GOD (Grandmother of Doom). Allah is a GOD (Gay of Dutch) Mohammed is a GOD (Grant-theft-auto of Deads) Forward it to everyone, you'll live eternal life for not being a stupid jerk using no-god-inventions to reply to my post. If there had been god, i would have been dead by the age of 1. Allah would hell to me if i were baptised, or Jesus would ask me to go to hell if i were to pray Allah. But i live safe and sound on these piles of good dollars in no god's land! Stop the religious wars in US, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Palestine, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Paskitan and the rest of the world! There is no god for you to fight for.
Smarter than the ones who come to me and say "you'll burn in hell if i'm not converted." Much smarter than the ones who are tempted to kill the others, because they thought the God told them so. Even smarter compared to the ones who keep bragging how powerful his God is, 'nouf siad. Gods, you come here and kiss my ... dollars.
Not as much as you might think - there's more people living now than have EVER existed combined. So we have 6 billion or so living now. About 4-5 billion have existed (not sure of the numbers). *To Brandnew: I see what you're saying. But you can believe in a god that hasn't been said. I, personally, believe in a god that doesn't intervene. He created all creatures equally and he just let us go. Humans just happen to be the dominant species.
Great old thread. I say TRUE. My belief is that whatever "God" is - we are all a part of it. The idea that God is something separate makes no sense to me. Whatever "God" is, it is everything. That may be hard to grasp and I think it should be. Organized religion saddens me because I think it's actually a barrier between people and any sort of true spiritual awakening. I definitely believe that you can get far closer to God by taking one hit of LSD than you can by going to a church for 75 years.
francis3 - never meant to imply that drugs are necessarily needed. I look at psychedelic drugs as a short cut. You can get to a similar place in other ways such as with meditation.
THe use of drugs in the search of God gave very interesing contributions like Jhon C. Lilly or Thaddeus Golas author of THe Lszy Man's Guide to Enlightenment ( one of my fancied books)but i think that meditation is a slowly way, but more trusty
Yes, I agree with the OP... The quotes I have used are taken from the Sikh Holy Scriptures - Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. And as to someone mentioning the only God is Allah. We also believe there is one God regardless of what you call Him. God, Allah, Ram, we use the word Vaheguru...
Haha... Totally false of course. I know that you knew it. You just try to make a hot thread that last long. It works. You are genius. But still that is stupid question IMO.
I like this. That everything, and whatever is beyond it, is a part of God, including us, but we are not God. If you buy this, God is working through and in everything all the time. Not far from the God of Abraham in my opinion. And still a bit bigger than most people like to think about. Not preaching it though, just saying I like the idea.
