If you owned the following domain name, www.yawoop.com what would you consider doing or creating with it? right now ti's a search engine with an open software script but this will be changing when I get some ideals.

I am open for many suggestions so don't be afraid! post your ideals

    thanks

A domain name that means nothing :)
Actually you are putting the cart in front of the horse. Think of a genuine idea and then the domain name. Domains have got very little to do with the success of a site, unless you have a very nice one.

A domain name that means nothing would leave more potential for success... Don't you think?

You have the opportunity to make yawoop something seeing it's currently nothing!

The opportunities are open 100% and not limited to the meaning of a specific word!

My Suggestion would be either a Search Engine or a web directory with paid listings!
Thats a great domain name too!

how about a forum where people can talk about their miscellaneous things

wooped means to shout or hoot etc

a forum where people show guts to shout about sumthing they cannot talk anywhere else and others blow them off and make fun of them...

a social networking site on similar ideas???

IMO, you should keep it as a search engine. If you're going to change it, try a forum or something social networking related.

Yawoop almost sounds like a music related site to me (Last.fm?)

...Or maybe a mix between a social networking site and a music referral site that is used to introduce new artists to the audience.

Then again I usually pick the domain name last.

What would you do with woopya.com? Or woopehee or heewoop, or....?

Not really. You could have the world's awesome site, but if the domain is too crappy, confusing, unpleasant, difficult to remember... (you get the idea), you will most likely fail.

Would you use Google if the domain was Gookartzamachentzaimantsco? You'd probably bookmark it, but you get the picture (maybe I went over the top )

Well lets see what we got..

    - I don't' like the "let it expire" idea...
    - I'm almost liking the social networking concept but I already own www.blogengage.com so I don't want to start another one.
    - I really like the Free Tools Website idea a few people mentioned. If i was to do free tools what are we thinking about for the tools?

    Anyone else have any suggestions?
