is it right that the dentist is the last person you want to deal with?

Dentists arent that bad although a visit is usually associated with pain.

But Doctors are another thing, these guys are some of the most useless people ive met.

Take better care of your teeth and you will not be drilled again in the future... ;)

Lol...I was having this exact thought last week (because I had a dentist appt). As a person, I think my dentist is a really cool guy - and his office staff is very nice and pleasant to deal with.

However - I would rather scrub toilets than sit in that dentist chair. Seriously. I am a good boy, and I get my teeth cleaned every six months. But I absolutely despise going.

I have a pretty cool dentist and so far I've never had any cavities so I'm not scared of them. I just hate travelling to them and waiting for your name to be called. I'm also not a big fan of the constant drooling when they're checking your teeth.

The only times I've been to a dentist is when the orthodontist has gotten him to pull my teeth. Which has actually happened on about 5-6 occasions, for a total of 10 teeth. They were all baby teeth though (I'm 16 now). He's a great guy, but I'd rather see him without pliers in his hand. The ones pulled didn't have cavities or anything, they were just in the way of permanent teeth.

I dread going to the orthodontist just as much, since I've had too many springs put in to count. I have 4 right now. I actually went yesterday to get 2 of them put on, and the woman working on them almost stabbed me in the mouth quite a few times because her pliers slipped.

One piece of good news for me though: I have NO wisdom teeth. :D

Lucky you.. mine are coming through and I think one's about to get infected :(
This whole thread reminds me of how I once bit a dentist as a kid and the dentist wanted me to see a shrink

Nah the dentist is not so bad. It is a lot easier to go to him now then wait until later when you have serious problems with your teeth.

Going to the dentist is one of my biggest fears. I don't like it but I have to do it. Good luck.

I don't mind when they gave you injections and you can't feel anything. Its when they examine your teeth by probing them with sharp scrapey things... Spine shivers...

I'd imagine not many people like going to the dentist.
I usually don't because of any bad news.
But, that is natural and still a good idea to go for the health.
