Well his team worked perfectly. They got a help from top 2 drivers who made a silly mistake and out of the race.

I wonder why Massa made 2 Pit stop that time when he already in pit lan

He was queued behind Kimi. They use a different fuel hose on the cars, so they could only change his tires. He had to pit the next lap for fuel.

Sounds like Kimi has had words to say about Hamiltons mistake. I can understand his frustration but coming only 2 weeks after what he did its a bit high and mighty!

What Kimi did in Monaco is totally a different story with what Hamilton did to him. In Monaco, Kimi is driving 300km/h out of the tunnel in wet weather condition. No grip and slippery can cause an accident.

In Canada, Hamilton is driving out to the pitlane within the limit of 80km/h in a dry track and clear weather condition. He must be blind or what. He totally deserve the grid penalty in France.

Hamilton won't make the same mistake again. But, considering he is only in his second year, he would eventually make a silly mistake. Now that it is out of the way, he can learn from it and not do it again

    Oh Thanks Mike for information.

I think F1 should change rules of Pit Stop under Saftey Car. It helps to reduce problems like Kimi and Luis had in last Race.

Crashing into the back of someone is crashing into the back of someone in my book, no matter where it happens.

Let see some true Hamilton grid and determination in France for a podium finish.

It's a bit hard for Hamilton if he start way back of the grid. France is a circuit that suit Ferrari well and they might get 1-2 there unless something bad happen to them. With BMW showing good progress each race, make it more difficult for Hamilton to reach the podium.

And all I can remember, Hamilton only show he is a good driver only if he started from the front row, otherwise, he look like a driver who don't know how to overtake other cars even he is a driving one of fastest car this season.

Hamilton will need to qualify first in France. He'll start 11th on the grid and could possibly over take 1-5 cars in the first lap from the nice run down to the first hairpin.

Some quality laps and a good strategy could easily allow him to finish in the top 5, even the podium of BMW don't perform well.

But France is home of Ferraris since they have good records and I would hoping for 1-2 for Ferrari, So it is not easy for Hamilton to finish top 5. I guess Kimi would take the lead in Driver standings.:)

Sure McLaren have their own strategy for Hamilton. We just wait and see. :D

The next race will be held in France, not Italy.

I think putting hamilton on a lighter strategy would play better, it would help him qualify higher up the grid and also help in get past cars on the opening few laps while they are all bunched together, if they time the stop well they will get him out in clear track.

I guess with France been a Ferrari favourite its not as bad for Mclaren and Hamilton as even if he started in second Ferrari could take a 1-2 in this one either way. It would be worse if he got a 10 place grid drop on a Mclaren favoured track.

IMO an aggressive strategy with 3 stops would give him a better chance. he needs to overtake and be very quick. heavy car = stuck in 10th place. Even when everyone pits he'll only just be in the points depending on retirements etc.

Here's hoping for a continued run in form for the BMW's. Heinfeld looked to be really struggling in qualifing for Canada so I hope the 2nd place has given him a kick up the backside.

Yeah you are right! His team mate Robert Kubica is doing well and no wonder he would finish top 3 at the end of the year in overall standings.

I really hope Kubica wins F1 championship but he would need to be lucky as 2 days ago more than once more...
