I was getting around $15-$20 per day now I am getting $5-$10 with double the traffic. How does that work?? Most of my sites are 2-3 years old all white hat with lots of natural backlinks with the majority my traffic is from the search engines.... Makes you want to just give up!!
Smart pricing ads showing such results and try to concentrate on content , sometimes we don't adds good keywords in post related to niche and face such things .
sad to hear that. if you get more Clicks and less earning, try to remove the ads for 1-2 days and also improve your content relate to keywords as much as you can. I tried to remove the 2 ads on my site game, then put them back. I get good price per click on these ads . Hope it works for you
Maybe it's just today... try to observe within a week and compare that days with high earnings... then analyze..

What causes the increase in traffic? good organic or junk? im not suggesting its junk by the way just asking.
It can be smart pricing but it may vary depend on the niche and the quality of the traffic Did you traffic sources change ? Did you change the website structure ? Try to to analyze the change but don't take one day and testing period try a week or two you can read more smart pricing in Google AdSense blog
It is surely smart pricing so here is what you are going to do focus on content and keywords and change placements and colors also increase the traffic as you could and observe for a week and then hopefully you will find your earnings rising up
