I believe Grim can bench what he claims. There are teenage kids at my school that can lift 3-400lbs(shadowridge high school)

What I'd give to have my test levels back from those days 'high school' :D

Yeah 425 isn't actually all that high, if I was going to lie I'd say 500's-600's

I'm still building myself backup, I have only been lifting again for 'I think' a little over 2 years.

Yeah some of the teenagers at my old school take steroids. I think the max at the school maybe 400. I know one or two of them could lift 350 max.

I know they do it but damn it's one of the dumbest things you could do, especially when you're under 18 is to take steroids. Can mess you up for the future from what I've read.

When I went to school there was a guy benching in the 500's, he was on steroids big time. Was HUGE though.

I'd definitely recommend eating something before going to bed, something light, not carb based, something with protein such as cottage cheese, a small chicken breast, etc.

It can help you sleep better, plus gives your body some protein to digest instead of scavaging your muscle for protein while you sleep.

I myself eat in the middle of the night, usually at least 1-2 times, something light and full of protein.

What? You don't want to be 250 pounds of pure blubber? :D

This is a topic that nobody can give an example that will work for everyone. Everyones body is different, as to metabolism and ease of building muscle.

The basic principle however is you need to eat more calories than you burn, you need to break down your muscle via lifting weights or some similar form of exercise. The excess food you eat will hopefully go back into building your bodies muscle up.

I'm an easy gainer which makes it difficult for me to give advice on someone who is a hard gainer to start.

Basic principle remains though, eat healthy foods, high in protein, good fats and good carbs. Eat several small meals through the day 'as suggested' this however will RAISE your metabolism and allow you to burn more calories, I still believe it's the best route myself. This method will however also provide your body with constant nutrition for your body to rebuild any broken down muscle fibers.

Eat protein within 30 minutes of lifting/exercise, if possible take a protein shake such as whey for fast acting protein.

Eat something small, high in protein before you go to sleep, low in carbs/sugar.

Do not do light weights with high reps, try to hit something in the middle, find something that works for your body. Switch it up from time to time, going from medium weight to heavy weight.

Most importantly listen to your body, research and dont' give up. This is not something that is as simple as popping a pill, or for a week eating better. It's a lifestyle if you trully want to gain some lean mass on your frame IMO.
