    Hello there,

Is it possible to divide parts of the site into categories in Analytics? Lets say you run a shopping site and you sell clothing and electronics. Your product urls look like this:

    site.com/television/produkt-ID
    site.com/mobiles/produkt-ID
    site.com/electronic-gadgets/product-ID

    And

    site.com/shoes/product-ID
    site.com/tshirts/product-ID

Is there a way to categoriese all these URLS into two categories? So that I can get stats from the different parts of my site..

Yes, if you adjust your "inlcludes" to insert different analytics code dependant on your catagory, you can track each section with different site profiles. Ensure that you setup two catagories first and grab for the code for each "site".

Isn't there any easier way than adding new profiles?

I believe you can add a specific tag for groups of pages which will allow you to segment your traffic for different products. You need the latest GA code though (updated late last year I think).

Check out page page 13 of this pdf: http://www.google.com/analytics/GATCmigrationguide.pdf
