Just started off with CB and of course as I didn't want to wait I immediately went off to start a PPC campaign. Campaign is going alright but I need to make more sales to really begin to make money. Now I'm ready to start with some article marketing to give my promotions that extra little push and get this going... but before I do this I have a few questions I'd appreciate you guys feedback. * I know you need to pump out articles and I've seen many people recommending about 5 articles per day. Which seems as a huge amount and specially after a month this means about 100+ articles submitted. My question here is how many articles are enough? I know you can never have enough but when would you consider having sent enough articles for 1 site or product? * According to what I've read re-writing articles is the key. Writing is not my strong point so I would most likely hire someone to write a first batch of articles. Then in order to save some money on my side I would consider re-writing these. So my quesion here what exactly is re-writing? Changing a few sentences? Changing the order of some ideas? I'm really dazzled here on what exactly is re-writing * Final question (sorry for the long post)... What sort of back linking strategy do you consider best? By this I mean, do you link all your articles back to your PromotedProductSite.com or to different individual pages based on the different keywords? Thanks to all for the time and all comments are highly appreciated
I don't think it is necessary to submit to 100s of article directories. I use Ezinearticles only, and that is where most all of my article traffic comes from (when compared to when I would submit to many directories.) As far as the number of articles is concerned, write when you can. The affiliate game is partially a numbers game. The more you put out, the more you make (with limitations). But, the biggest key comes from the article itself: Does your title and teaser attract interest? Are you using your main keyword in your title? Do you have your keyword and relevant keywords in your article (without overdoing it)? Does your article pinpoint a problem/need and a solution to that problem/need? Does your signature provide a call to action? There are more elements to this equation. But this will help you along. For backlinking, consider doing it network style: You are allowed 3 links in the Ezine signature. From my experience, I will link to Squidoo, my blog, and then to my product page. Following, I will link Squidoo to a blogger page, then to a WP page, back to whatever without creating any reciprocal links. Make sense? Also, if you do have the funds to hire a ghost writer...go for it. Ask for references, look at previous articles, and make sure the person can be trusted. Michael
Not really experienced to answer all your questions, I think that your overall approach is good! I think by rewriting is meant that you write the same article with different words, meaning the article will provide the same content but it will be presented with a different combination of words
thanks for this priceless info.. i'm writing all this down and pasting it on the walls to never forget... question i forgot to ask earlier... longtail kerywords are very important and these should be targeted. how many articles would you consider writing per each keyword? do you usually just write 1 per article or try to pumpout several articles per keyword? thanks...
I noticed many users around digitalpoint offering to post articles in up to 50 different social bookmarking sites, blogs, and article directories for prices such as 1-5 bucks. You may want to utilize some of these services, it's cheap traffic. Also, you REALLY want to spend some time on EzineArticles -- this is where most of your potential conversions will dwell.
For sure, I heard Ezine articles are popular amongst women reading about dieting and weight loss and MSN and Yahoo are fond of these. I would love to see a genuine Ezine Article Survey of results/views/conversions etc depending on the niche
I say produce as many articles is that is needed. Always target long tail keywords and do as many as you want a day. I do anywhere between 10-15. The point is that you need to hit keywords, so you make it into the top 10 of google.
What do you mean by targeting long tail keywords? I have 4-5 long tail keywords (from 3 to 7 words in each) with approx. ~600 000 Google results and 20-30 searches per day. And I try to use them once in a while in articles. Is it OK? Or what do you mean but such kind of targeting? Please mind, my niche is super competitive, and I don't think I'll be able to find less competitive keywords in this niche.
Lol, are you kidding me? You want it like, 10 000 at most... I try to keep it under 2000-5000... 600 000 competing pages is not a good keyword...
But what if niche is too competitive? By the way, where do you get those long tailed keywords? I use Seo Book Keyword Tool, thought about buying WordTracker, but hell it's expensive
Difficult finding more than 100 searches a day with GT if find but possible. is that broad or phrase search results? Muck Fee man- i try and do 3 a day- but i teach part time each day- i could do more- i should.
^^ Lol no it's not. Exact match is with brackets, like [keyword phrase] What you measure is the search term in quotes : "keyword phrase"
Confusing http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=675274&seqNum=5 http://www.dumblittleman.com/2007/06/20-tips-for-more-efficient-google.html Notice the example with monty python. But I have also found http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=6100 So in quotes it's phrase match Best regards
Ahahaha, you totally edited that. What happened to the "Do you know how to use Google, my friend?". In the old days I would have said "pwned". But no, not anymore. Lol. Yes, it's a Phrase match when it's in quotes...
