My experience with compusa has been the worst experience i have had with any company. its been over two months and i still have not received my product or a refund. i have called about 10 times and they always say the same thing that they are going to send a ticket. i ordered the product 2nd day shipping and they told me it was back ordered. after one month i asked for my refund. and it has been almost a month and i havent received it to my paypal account. i called today and i asked if i could speak to a supervisor and they kept on making excuses so i wouldnt talk to him/her. they say i should get my refund tuesday lets see what happens. so far i dislike this company a lot.
why would you buy from compusa online? The only way I could imagine buying from them is at a retail location. You can find much better deals elsewhere online.
There was one about 5 miles from my house. I haven't been to that shopping plaza in about a month, but I was under the impression their retail stores were closed a long time ago too. They opened them up again under a new owner. There is still one where i live they just didnt have the product i wanted.
The CompUSA near my house closed down a year or so ago. However, the customer service there was always terrible. I was never able to find anyone helpful there. I can't recall ever buying anything there because they were so unhelpful.
CompUSA near my home went out, was happy to see it go. Lousy customer service if there ever was any... I'm surprised they still have retail locations, I thought they completely liquidated it.
Do not buy from ibuypower.com either. Their support is terrible. RUSH does not mean rush as outlines. Call support? Hopefully you can speak Vietnamese. Also, you get lied to on due dates, and progress. One of the absolute WORST buying experiences I've EVER had. Search rippoff + ibuypower and you will read some doo'sies.
CompUSA was great about 6 years ago.. at least the one by me.. a few years ago though they pretty much replaced the staff at the store and quality of service dropped. I quit going there after that. Pretty sure it was one of the stores that ended up being closed.
CompUSA valued pushing its extended warranties over customer service and that was the true downfall of the company. They also screwed up the tech services department. That was a gold mine and they kept making it a loss leader due to all the free crap that had to be done.
