I have been looking on Amazon but I haven't really found any "great" book on online marketing....

Please post what books you would recommend...

    and please identify the following:

    Practical : Theory : Inspirational

Ebook : Traditional Book : Magazine

    Thanks

I have tried searching sometime ago but did not find any good recommendation as well.. You may better off read blogs written by John Chow, CopyBlogger and Seth Godin.

And yes, you can try out books written by Seth Godin for marketing.

Some of us are awaiting Shoemoney's "The Shoemoney Playbook" within a few months on how to effectively market online, and how to start up a successful website/web business. :)

To be honest with you, I'm not sure whether Shoemoney will be releasing an e-book or publish an actual hardcopy. I think he mentioned at some point about needing the book published, so it would be safe to assume that an actual book is coming out.

Hehe, nice...I'll read your article when I'm back at the 8-5 coal mines tomorrow. You should consider changing that picture of the guy with his feet sticking out...can't you find a nice female model for that? Maybe Barefootsies can help. :D

I've wasted - and I do mean wasted way too much money on books. Forums are the best way to learn marketing. There is alot of crap to wade through, but it's free for the most part and the information is priceless.

I especially find that most ebooks are just rehashed basic information that you can find free somewhere. Forums are very specific and easy to search.

You may take it as a given, but you have to fully understand just how powerfull forums are - and if you have a question you can't find an answer to in a forum, just ask and you will usually get quality responses.

Books are one of the worst ways to learn!

I would do something more along the lines of http://www.workathomeprofitzone.com (which is free, by the way!) Dani Johnson is an amazing teacher. :) (No, I have no affiliation!)
