Write some good articles about your business through press releases. I own a new press release web site. Try to promote it there.

    1) Write content every day (quality/unique/interesting)
    2) Get backlinks constantly
    3) Repeat this and watch your traffic increase
    4) Monetize and watch the $$ fly in
    5) Be consistent
    6) Once you get sick of your site, sell it for 10x revenue
    7) Use this money to fund an new project and repeat from step one with any quantity of sites.

Its is all about how well your site does with the viewers if they like it, repeat visits, they will spread the site to family and friends, they may even put a link on their website or something along those lines, so creating one way backlinks if this is done a few thousands of times you page rank will increase and so will your traffic as you should rank high on googles search engine, but this depends on how competive your keywords are. Other sites will link to you etc....
Stay patient loads of newbies rush in excpecting to earn there millions and either lose money, or are inpatient and dont see bucks running in, from the first month, stay focused.

    Content is King

I do agree that Content is King however be sure that the content:

    Gets to the point

Is entertaining (personal stories are always good)

Communicating with the reader is good (rheotorical questions, and normal questions for blog comments)

and ensure its straight to the point, answers or informs them on what the title says whilst entertaining them and does not waffle on.

I have the same question. It's the second time in two days that I've heard this term.

    Can anyone elaborate?

Dont forget the power of videos. I promote my site almost exclusively on video hosting sites, such as youtube. These videos can then be embedded into your site.

Written articles are one thing, but - adding a video to your article that discusses the same content, but with a little different twist adds a second layer.

The power of videos have long been over looked by the blogging / article writing community. Instead of ignoring one or the other, combine the two. This will make your website even that much more appealing and different.

    Quote from Wikipedia.....

In blogging, ping is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which a weblog notifies a server that its content has been updated. An XML-RPC signal is sent to one or more "ping servers," which can then generate a list of blogs that have new material. Many blog authoring tools automatically ping one or more servers each time the blogger creates a new post or updates an old one.
