I am making my site right now and I am looking at ways of making some money on it. I am not thinking of thousands a month or anything, but just any amount of money. The problem is I do not want to give out my SSN/Tax Information. So I was wondering is there any PPC sites or any other sort of ad networks that do not require you to give out your SSN? I cannot use bidvertiser since they banned me for not being active and wont let me make a new account they said. I will still try to sell some ad space on my site, but I know that wont be a steady source of money. So if you people know any networks that do not require SSN/tax information I would appreciate it.
Any legitimate PPC/affiliate sites will have to require you to disclose your SSN/Tax info...if you're working with reputable sites like Google Adsense and Commission Junction, what are you wary of?
I am currently 17, and not 18 for awhile. My previous site had a good 1500-2000 unique views a day, but I had no ads. And I am making a new site now and want a way to get something out of it and earn some revenue. My parents do not trust sites even like yahoo or google because they are scared of identity theft and their credit. So I am sort of on my own.
They basically think everything online is a scam and all that. But I assume they pay off their CC through mail.
What if somebody rob the USPS truck? Sorry dude, but there is many ways of explaining to your parents that some things are better doing them online and that not everything on the net is scam.
You're either going to have to convince them, or you'll have to work private advertising deals with other websites. I know you're only 17, but uh...do you have your own credit card or debit card? How have you been paying for hosting & other costs thus far?
Yes I have my own debit card. And I have been paying for all my hosting and everything via paypal. I try to convince them that it is like you are applying for a job, since you have to give jobs your SSN on the paper and you don't know what they do with the paper or if they shred the piece of paper at a certain time. But they are a bit stubborn. But no need to get into my parents, was just mainly trying to find any ways or websites that didn't require SSN,, but I guess there isn't any.
Tons of advertising networks that won't take your ssn etc.. But you will have to report your earnings..
Why not just sign up with reputable affiliate sites behind your parents' backs? There's nothing they can actually do to stop you from disclosing your SSN...and if they see mailed checks going to you that are for $1,000 or more a month, they'd change their minds pretty quickly. The worst they can do is kick you out of the house and leave you homeless. What have you got to lose?
Haha, yeah I am not going to go behind their backs on this type of thing. And if it is my SSN doesn't Adsense run a check to see if all the info matches the account or who the person is? Because you have to file a 1099 form to the IRS to report your earnings.
Yes, you can't BS Adsense with your SSN. Basically, for sites that can generate $600 or more a year on your behalf, you WILL have to disclose your SSN at some point or another. For something this simple, I would seriously just go behind your parent's backs and maybe have the checks mailed to a friend's residence for you to cash out.
