I had a malware warning after one of my clients websites had got hacked. As a result when the website was returned in searches Google had a warning message displayed next to it informing searchers that the website is malicious and advising them not to click on it. I then had to follow their guidelines , remove the malware take steps to ensure such hacks did not happen in future and submit a warning removal request. In about 6 weeks this matter was resolved and the warning was removed, There was regular correspondence form Google via emails so I was always informed of what was happening.
Yes I am. When you receive such a mail, you will find the reason for the penalization in it so you can fix it. And after fixing you can get reincluded in the serps again after they have looked at your site again. But reinclusion cost time. You should count on a minimum of a month.
I never got any mail. Only when I looked at my "Webmaster Tools" account, I realized what had happened: This tells the whole story:
yes. i had a couple of music pages, and under each artist page, i sent a link to my other pages, linking in between the two for specific artists, but i didnt want the user to go check out the "clone", so it was in a <div style="height:1px;width:1px;overflow:hidden;"> bla</div> My site got banned for 30 days, but is back to normal. Cost me like 150 dollars...(5/day)
Google will sent an email to 2 email addresses I am not sure but I think it was and So If you don't use these email addresses Google will send a mail to an email which doesn't exist. But this is the only way they can massmail spammers. More about this is on Matt Cutts Blog: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/communication-in-other-languages/
@sachin410 I had the same problem ones, but luckily it was not yet affecting my rankings in the serps. It set u a phpbb forum on a subdomain. Actually it was not to use it, but just to get more experience with setting up forum software and to look how everything works as a forum admin. After a couple months I found also strange words in my webmaster account, which I couldn't find back in the articles. And after another month when I looked back at the forum, it was fully spammed with you already know what. The answer was, simple. I removed the whole subdomain, since it wasn't an active forum and I submitted the removal of the forum with webmasters tools, with an explanation what happened. What still bothers me is that there where ZERO links to the forum. Then how could these bots find it?
