I have a 1-letter name in one of those country-code domains. It's very short, catchy, and it's a palindrome: "x.yx" (letters changed, of course). It's genuinely pronounceable - not like when people here call qujx.org pronounceable, but really pronounceable. Fun to say, even. In fact, I bet most English speakers say its correctly-spelled homophone almost daily. It fits nicely into marketable phrases. I hadn't thought about selling it, but now I'm thinking maybe I should. The only catch is that the annual registration fee is €500. So it's not something that you could just sit on, you have to do something profitable with it or believe in it as an investment. It has some traffic now, but not that much. Maybe 50K uniques per month. I would be taking the existing content with me. It's hard to find comparable cases because these names are extremely rare. I'm curious as to how much people think it might be worth.
I would, but I don't particularly want to associate my real name (which is plastered all over the web site) with my forum persona. Being anonymous enables me to be more honest (or forthcoming) here than I otherwise might.
Rent this domain out to some with a website with country code. Rental fee would take care of reg fee each year.
