absolutely a NO for me...it degrades a woman's morality. There are other decent jobs out there, its just they're looking for easy money

Yes it should be legal so they will have to pay taxes. prostitution will always be there no matter how much we sweep it under the rug.

Of course it shouldn't, why would it be? It's dangerous.

That's just silly. But let's assume it is dangerous.

Is it more dangerous than drinking myself blind within my own home?

Is it more dangerous than smoking a cigarette when I am really tired?

Is it more dangerous than eating some old food in the fridge?

What I do to my body is my business. Not yours.

Yes it should be legal. You have every right to do as you please with your own body, and what you decide to do is the business of no one but yourself.

It seems that morality seems to be the big issue here. But who are you guys to say what is right and what is wrong? What is acceptable to one person, may be unacceptable to another. This is why drinking is still legal. Some people believe it is immoral to drink, as others have no issues with it. This shouldnt be an issue of whether you think it is right or wrong.

On one side, prostitution currently seems to revolve around other illegal activities, violence, and other things that are not desired.

However, if prostitution were legal, it would be easier to police and control than the way it is going on now.

Like abortion, if abortion were illegal then it would be a lot more dangerous as the use of black market abortionists would arise. We all know that these conditions are awful. But as long as it is legal, the process can be safely performed and only take one life, not the child and the mothers.

It should be legal. If prostitution was made legal (currently in the US only legal in Nevada), unions could be enacted to enforce worker conditions (making it safer) and taxes could be collected. It would not only be safer but it would also benefit society.

Most of the prostitutes are forced to do it. They are stolen from ex-soviet countries and taken in EU and US and forced to do it. There are so many cases here.

There are very few women which actually practice it at their own will.

So, ILLEGAL as it should be.

I see no problem in it being made legal. I think that if it ever was to happen, it should all happen of licensed premises, and all ladies should be checked.

    Your argument is pathetic.

#1 most prostitutes in the US are not 'forced into it'
#2 if it was legal and regulated the 'forcing' would not happen as government controls could easily help anyone 'forced' into it.

Your wishing it to be illegal causes the crime including the 'forced' nature,

Yes, only if the prositute isn't forced to do that work. Why? better to let people pay for it than rape!
