You may find reviewing 100-200+ directory submissions a day may get old. Should you decide to turn paid for review in the future, I'm not sure how accommodating a domain with "free" in it will be.

I realise this, and that is why my plans are going to be to have the directory permanently free. I realise non-monetary benefits to myself that would actually be free to someone else.

Well now that you have settled in, let me throw a little spanner in the works for you.

JUst very quietly I think you are going down the wrong road with your site.
and you are not outside the square in the thinking, then again i seem to have upset you once tonight so i will tread carefuly, so here goes.

There are oodles of free spam junk directories, oodles of submitters and oodles of submission services and you want to add to that jungle, but why not put that name to good use by

having the site list the directories that offer free submission, break thise directories down into groups for example can be used by the differnt submission tools and have these lists downloadable

lets say i use ABC submission tool i can come to free links and download all free directories that use that tool etc etc

Next if you clever you would set up affiliate links to sell those tools or charge the people wanting to list those tools a submission fee, then from there you would value add by promoting all of those people who offer a submission servoce, once again charging these people a submission fee or taking an affiliate link from them.

Now lets step it out further and offer seo services and again paid submissions from these guys, and of course you can add a few adsense ads here and there.

now wiht your marketing lets see you market that to the general web site owner who is looking to get their site listed, they come to your site, it's up to date with all current and non crap free directories, it lists tools for submission, submission and seo services and wait there's more, yes your blog offering helpful advice on correct submission and best prctices, submission service reviews and good golly miss molly you have a product that may even work.

Now just because you have spent a few bucks i would put that down to a learning curve, chat with Jamie and ask if his script will cover what you need or talk with others to get the right one, then spend some $ and get the very best template, and pay for some decent hosting, you may just sort o a good site yet. all the best.
