Each month is getting worst with Chitika !!!

Two months ago I used to earn 15c per click
Last month I earned only 10c per click

And this month is a good start, 5c per click

So next month I will get 0c per click

Chitika should merge with Widgetbucks ...

I use Adsense, Chitika and Vibrant Media on my site. I've had a couple of late payments with Vibrant Media but other than that, the only company that seems to not know what they're doing is Chitika. My earnings with Chitika have been the same as yours, making good money for the past year and then this sudden downward spiral with no explanation other than a week old "we're having reporting problems" message on their website. Yesterday, I earned $2.25 with my RPUs when I had been earning $15-20 daily.

Meanwhile, they're running a promotion offering to double your income for the first $100 if you switch to their new "Premium" ad format, which is exactly the same as their old eMiniMalls that don't work on my site, so if the RPUs don't improve in a big way soon, I'll be leaving Chitika.

I have a small 468x60 Adsense unit that I use as an alternate URL for when the RPUs don't appear, and it earns more money now than the RPUs earn!

 

I already use adsense, and widgetbucks is widgetsucks they were good at their debuts...

I have another thing to say about Chitika: THEY NEVER INFORMED US ABOUT THE CLICKABLE AREA CHANGE I don't know when they did the change but I've just found it. They did like adsense, only text and images are clickable now !

I have another thing (sorry ) some of there old ad formats have now bugs ???

Not been pleased with the history of this program, dropped it after a year of promotion and don't expect to integrate again.

 

I think i will do the same.

Oh, i've found another thing (again) RPU is no longer supported... where is the mail to tell this to publishers...

 

Where are you finding this information about the clickable area change and RPUs not being supported?

 

This has already been covered multiple times.

There should be a message above your earnings. They claim they'll fix this in a few days.

 

1- Just by hovering my ads

2- RPU are bugged on all sites, and disappeared from "Get code" menu on Chitika's website.

You haven't read the whole message, look at all the problems I mentioned.

 

I read the whole message. When you say you found out the RPUs are no longer supported, it makes it sound like you've heard something official from Chitika, which apparently is not the case. You're making assumptions and talking about them as facts. Let's stick to facts.

The RPUs are obviously still being supported, otherwise they wouldn't be appearing at all. The problem is that the amount we're being paid per click has dropped down to nothing.

I've sent an email to Ryan Travis at Chitika asking for an explanation. So far, no reply.

 

Ya, my earnings are dropping faster than Britney Spear's panties.

My traffic is increasing, clicks are stable, the eCPC is just pure trash. I don't see a bright future with this program. Time to hunt for a replacement.

My Chitika eCPM did also drop enormously because of all this "premium"-crap!
Worst thing is that I always see this message after logging in to chitika every day:

I mean... WTF!! an eCPM of ZERO, NULL, NOTHING for their shitty premium crap! I do not want to use these "premium" ads at all but Chitika inserts it on all eMinimalls and other stuff with an eCPM of 0$ and there is no way to opt out... I am going to remove all chitika ads from my websites right now because the overall eCPM has dropped about 50% during the last 2 months...!

Chitika switched most of their revenue from CPC to CPA without telling the publishers... They mentioned it somewhere hidden as last sentencce in a blog entry but I did not receive an email from them... Doesn't matter, I am not using Chitika anymore... what a waste of time!

 

Agreed. I was earning the same as karamendos, $15-20 a day, and then I dropped to $1-2 a day. Chitika claims their new "Premium" ads work great for sites that receive lots of search engine traffic. My site receives about 5000 visitors a day from search engine traffic (4000 just from Google alone), and yet as I said, my earnings dropped down to $1-2 a day. I guess Chitika figures I'll ignore my earnings report as long as they keep telling me how amazing their new Premium ads are.

I've removed their ads completely, as I'm sure most publishers have or will be doing soon. Total waste of time. Chitika has never been a company that's up front with their publishers, but this takes the cake.

 

Same here too. I am using Linx, but CPC also dropped from like 0,13 to 0,04. Oh well, time to go back to Kontera i guess.
