Joomla or Custom?

    Im about to make a photoshop tutorial website. Should i make a template in photoshop and code it or should i go with Joomla?

    you can install joomla, make your design in photoshop and make a joomla template of your own.

    Would i have to have

    "powered by joomla" at the bottom?

    Also it's better to make your own stuff. If you planning to sell that site later that it's better to make your own script. That rise your price and sound's pretty :)

    Not necessary! It is open source ..... you can remove the credits! However best is to be let it there!

    Im unable to write scripts.. would it be ok to simply edit .html files in notepad? :rolleyes:

    You can edit Joomla core code, you can change and remove whatever you wish. Anyway you cant change or remove anything from templates for joomla that are commercial or under some other restrictive licence. I personaly use Joomla with my templates or some GNU/GPL templates.
