I agree, the test is a bad indicator. I also agree, human nature is what it is. My post #50 (and what it links to) discusses this. To go from acknowledging we all harbor prejudices to indicating it is the object of our scorn that requires changing, and not us, is a problem. We're not constructing a theory here. In other words, do you see a difference between a theory trying to conceptualize the issue this way: and a view that says: ? I can only speak for me. I am certainly not trying to say we don't harbor b.s. in our chests. But neither am I trying to fit the issue into a theory of individualist-anarchy, nor can I accept saying, well, hell, prejudices against (X) are here....and it's your fault, X, for the problem! This is my view. I would consider Jeremy's prejudices respecting, for instance, Obama, Muslims as a "group," or, now, Mormons, apparently, as extreme. It saddens me to say so, as Jeremy and I have had a cordial relationship in the past. But this is the truth as I see it.
I can get excited about Obama...I was for Hillary, but he is a very good speaker, smart...unlike Bush or McCain...change is good too...so America will be respected again in the world for the good and not the questionable....
I like how McCain seems to speak without a script sometimes. It seems to me when Obama does that he doesn't make any sense. I am not sure it's gonna help McCain and I am not going to vote for him but I do wish more politicians could just stand up and talk without having a speech written for them.
No, no animosity. I'm part Indian, never expressed any animosity towards one as far as I can tell. Never expressed any animosity towards legal immigrants. I am a descendant of legal immigrants. I do take issue with people who claim to be something they are not. Feeling a little self conscious today are we? Wait, you have me on ignore... So you probably won't even see this.
No, I just don't like him. I absolutely believe him, his wife, his pastor, and his friends are racists. EDIT: Lots of fresh faces in here I see. I assume everyone else has been banned? ;x
When you stop posting. I'm still waiting for him to tell us what this "change" is. Many are getting close to that no doubt...
And all I've done is had the balls to actually speak my mind. Unfortunately, as you said, that is something that is mistaken for racism. Personally, I'd rather be honest than assume guilt.
No, let's be clear, shall we? You are speaking your mind, agreed. And your plethora (what, hundreds?) of like posts makes your positions quite clear. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=7954990&postcount=103 It's your arrogance that presumes we all think as you do, but are secreting such thoughts in our inner grottoes.
As usual you quote posts out of context. The way you manipulate posts to your sick advantage is quite extraordinary. Guess you never really bothered to read the entire thread. Remember this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2155203&postcount=61 and what led up to my comments? Put things in the proper context instead of grabbing only those statements you wish to use to try to portray your constant attacks. Dude, do you actually read anything, or just skim over the facts and pick and choose what you want to digest? Is there no end to your race baiting and attacks? Please, for the love of God grow up, or at least keep your to your initial promise and leave.
White America is during Winter time after a heavy snow fall. No membership is required, you just need to be in the temperate zones.
First of all, why not ask the question that most think is obvious. "Will Black America Vote For Obama"? As a black person, I would definitely not vote for him because of his prior "minuscule" record and the fact that the man has recorded "socialist" ties and ideals. And by the way, he really reminds me of one of those bean pie selling "Muhammad Speaks" - propoganda rag; selling muslims that frequently hunt after young disillusioned black youth.
Jeremy, I am not manipulating anything. The quote you're referring to as "out of context" is a reprint from post 30, which contains the entire dialogue from your exchange with Big Doug. And if I were to actually count, it is but one of hundreds, I'd imagine. Not one page up from the post you link to, we have this - (in its entirety): http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2153510&postcount=38 To which I say, for the millionth time: 1. He isn't Muslim; 2. So what if he were? Isn't America a land where anyone is supposed to be free to worship from any faith, (or indeed, to hold no faith)? For months, Jeremy, it has been along the lines of post 30; encapsulated in, I would suppose, Your post in its entirety: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=6613191&postcount=100 (This, among countless other lines of smear....I mean, my god, Jeremy - "Obama murders Donald Young in a homosexual rage?") No, this isn't fun. But I'm not doing it for fun, either. As I said earlier, another member has wanted to play the "context" card as well. You want to borrow from his handbook, fine. But I've taken nothing out of context. Prompted in part, I guess, from your outrageous statements of yesterday regarding Mormons, I'm just finally speaking to it. I'd suggest if you want this to die, you simply leave well enough alone.
The p&r forum is a fascinating place. Anybody interested in anthropology and social psychology and whatever else about man and his habits and beliefs and such can always find some interesting aspects of human behaviour on display to keep him interested. Humans ...... just when you think you have figured them out, they'll throw a few surprises your way. But most of time, it's the "usual" behaviour though. P.S I wasn't talking about any thing in particular. Just a random thought.
