on which keyword you are targeting on Google it will show you, and for the least important keywords yahoo will show you listing.

We have been optimising our web design company's website actively for the past 7 months. We have never individually targeted Yahoo but have focused only on Google. In the first few months we only ever saw traffic form Google, However lately our keywords have started to get top rank in Yahoo without us focusing on yahoo at all. MY answer to your question i Guess is that you should focus mainly on Google for obvious reasons. Most search engines work in similar ways. If you focus on Google you cannot go wrong with others.

    Friends,

I've read and checked one Difference between Y and G Algorithms in SEO

Yahoo :- things like cheesy off topic reciprocal links still work great in Yahoo!

Google :things like cheesy off topic reciprocal links are generally ineffective in Google when you consider the associated opportunity cost.

This is not my Philosophy but this is From SEOBook.

    Thanks
    John

In my own experience, yahoo focus on links of the site you optimize. The more quality links, the more high ranking you got, compare to Google that you need a lot of strategies in order to rank high, IMHO. :p

I didn't find any major different between google SEO and Yahoo SEO.

I think both like incoming quality links from authentic sites.

I optimise for google and find that yahoo picks me up, all be it a little while later,

i think they both want quality content etc as do customers so I personally focus on that too so we all win,

My advice is to forget Yahoo SEO. It used to be something worth your effort, however the past 2 years Yahoo has ruined any attempts for stable or even semi-stable Yahoo SEO
