it got stolen from my university library. it really sucks. it's interesting how much we are relied on computers. they are full of confidential information. it's a good thing that i just use my laptop for 100% university materials.
You can glue your laptop to your legs. So when you sit down its ready for use . Jk. Anyways those are some very helpful tips on that blog!
Meh, if you get your laptop holding sensitive material stolen then it's pretty much your own fault. If it holds sensitive info, don't leave it somewhere where it can be easily stolen. Lock it up in a safe or something if you take it home with you (or at work when your not there). Put a signal triggered bomb in it and back it up every night if your that concerned
Sometimes it's not the matter of protecting your laptop or not, but in fact you cant take control of what will being happened. If someone spotted your laptop, it would be most likely stolen by him as he has planned for it while you don't have the precaution towards it. So laptop owners should be aware that you shall protect your laptop by taking all possible precautions before it's too late.
My security method is experimental . Haven't gotten all the bugs worked out. Maybe pants with velcrow on them? So no glue on your legs?
I will just recommend to avoid yourself on a crowded places much as possible you do your browsing on a private place. There is nothing safer than to be on a safe place.
Yep, there might be some virus in that page. My firefox is not opening it and my firefox always close whenever I tried to open it!
i m not gettin any problem in firefox or IE....maybe it's causin problems in vista.... it's a professional IT news site i doubt there's any virus.....i think there is a major major major script error. being such a big mouth piece of canadian information technology one can safely expect that they might be a bit more careful wit their scripts... anyways, any other good laptop tips?

Heres a tip, dont leave it in a cab as collateral with driver (after getting a cab home pi$$ed from pub only to realise no money) whilst you go into the house to get money only to forget the laptop after paying the driver!! Lesson learnt here!!lol
the best prevention of loss is atleast not to carry sensitive info on laptop, i do on USB which is always with me, if neccessary I plug it into laptop and ride the info I need. next tip should be that turn off laptop totally => your temp files will disapear and possible thief won't do larger mess. (but i like to have laptop in standby )
