In fairness to the half white, half black, Hawaiian American, Barrack Obama, he did resign his membership from his racist church, so in that regard, I don't really think that should be an issue in the future. It's fairly easy to express concerns for someone that did spend 23 + years learning to hate at that level. While I am respectful of his decision to disown his racist church, one does have to wonder if the ideals that have been expressed by his former racist church are his own. Its a completely fair question. At this point, what will keep most of America, not just "white" Americans (like it should make a difference) from voting for Obama is his vagueness and lack of a plan moving forward. Giving a great speech and talking about change is not going to motivate everyone to vote for him. Those of us that can still think for ourselves prefer to be given more concrete courses of action, rather than simply vagaries. Still others are turned off by his arrogance, and constant attacks on an America that many people still like. His campaign, while it has united a great many with similar feelings, has overly divided a nation that was divided only by ideology, not race. As such, unfortunately, Obama has divided the US more, by gender and race and those are the votes he is losing out on. This includes Americans of every background, and ethnicity. His only hope at this point is to appeal to those of us that keep asking, what is this "change" you keep talking about, and how to you intend to bring it about? Until we know more about Soros' poster child for division, I doubt you'll find much support from those that think for themselves.
Wasn't it more than HALF of America that voted for G.W. Bush the miserable failure twice? They can do it again and vote for McNasty. After all the majority of people unfortunately are brainwashed, misinformed and out of touch. Though some might accept a black man as president of the most influential country in the world, you might still have the rural redneck that will not. And there is plenty of them!

I don't care about that stuff as much as I care about substance. I want him to say, "hey Jer, here is what I plan to do, and how I plan to do it." I've yet to see that! That's my main beef!

I agree, but I really don't think anyone knows enough about this guy to get a good indication of his character on any level. We really need to know more about him.
