i would suggest that you sign up for a reputable affiliate company such as neverblueads (link is below in my signature). Once signed up promote campaigns from them. They have very good payouts. PM me here after you signed up if you need help. Good luck!
It is possible to make more than that with PPC. You just need good content and a good network. I would waste time with PTC.

I'm not sure if you are actually talking about using a network to provide ads that gives you CPC or are using PPC advertising to do referrals. Which are you looking for? Check the link in my sig for my CPC network. You need to have a website, though. Do you have one?
im a designer by trade and i have made over $200 in a few weeks by doing odd jobs for clients online... but i want a consistant month by month income and this is not going to come from designing because the clients are not there... any suggestions???

Go for PPC is nice. Try Adsense should be ok. You can generate nice income from there. But if you wanted to go into PTC, that will be wasting your time in my opinion. Unless you are going to promote it to a lot of prospect so that you get a lot of ppl click for you. But make sure you join PTC that are not scam.
