buying traffic is worth it as long as you break even or make money.. I usually spend 350 usd a month purchasing traffic through Adbrite... I have done this 9 times and have made my money back 8 out of the 9 and in a total lost about 125..

So was it worth it ??

    YES

If you were hypothetically going to buy a listing an exceptionally high traffic site. Don’t just blindly choose a site to promote.

    * First start by visiting them on a daily basis and noting what programs are being pushed in the top 10 positions.
    * Take note of what these programs are, see if they are promoting fresh and new sites or if they have some unusual niche.
    * What kind of gallery templates seem to be used the most often?
    * Are they sending direct to join or to the tour page?
    * Are they upselling other products on their gallery pages?
    * Is a certain sponsor heavily represented?
    * When you browse the link codes, does it look like the site owner or an affiliate is pushing the traffic?
    * Does it look like they are going for PPS or Revshare?
    * Is the audience is looking for hairy amputees?
    * If they are, what does that do to your odds of selling your niche?

Why? so that you can go poke around in my tracking stuff? It was only that small so that I could embed it without pissing off 56k users. It's fine - I use many - have to, I'm doing research on a few. Fair enough though, here is a whole page shot, identities protected + this free tracker's ads blocked :)

First off, I would not recommend you to buy untargeted traffic. There are many websites out there offering you their advertising services. I would stay away from them. The bottom line is that you won´t get the expected traffic. Besides, that traffic is not targeted and does not convert.

Google AdWords is by far the best way to buy traffic and get targeted visitors in a matter of minutes. You can also try other PPC search engines and get good results.

There are some powerful social networking sites such as Facebook and StumbleUpon that offer PPC advertising. I think it would be another option, because you can determine some demographics and get somewhat targeted visitors.

Remember that you can get FREE traffic from search engines if you know some basics of SEO. It is worth it. Don´t overlook the power of SEO traffic!

    Hope it would help you!

    Good Luck!

These same questions come up on a ... daily basis? Anywho, buying traffic never works, you cannot "buy traffic" in bulk, you can buying promotions such as AdWords and that will work though.

How can buying traffic be ever good?
I think there will never be a shortcut to success and so is it true here
I started initially getting traffic from linkreferral...It's same as buying traffic ...people come to my site because they want their site to work not because they would care to see my sites content.
After a fortnight i looked in the avg time by visitors from linkreferral it was in few seconds. I think same will be the case with buying traffic...
If you want visitors You will have to promote your site and let them know that a quality website like yours exists.
I started on 8th may and have 300+ visitors today...you have to build it up...
I came across such sites alot of times but like somebody said before...They show their bogus charts which look very tempting for fools to fall into their trap....

I felt the same way - but Bux users are apparently great to advertise money making opportunities to and they allegedly tend to end up the best people to have under you. I guess it works like 'pay them very little to let you advertise them things that can potentially make them more'.

Like I said, I'll tell you how it goes by seeing if I make any zipbux.org sales, because zipbux is way better than bux sites, and we'll see. I'll report back with detailed results of showing a 20 - 30 dollar offer to premium bux users - this will tell you at least if info products are worth it because zipbux is lazer-targeted to bux users to offer them a faster, easier way to make money. If they don't bite this, they won't bite anything - or they don't really want to spend less time clicking and more time earning.

Bux sites are not like that...

And proxy-style services are to gain traffic rank, not to make sales...

You are looking from one angle, when there are plenty to look from ;)

A good rule of thumb is that you only want to attract visitors who are actively interested in your site or product.

There's little value in buying "guaranteed hits" as these visitors are usually not choosing to visit your site (it's usually paid to click or some other incentive).

So you can buy traffic but it has to be in the for of a PPC campaign, text link, banner. That way you're only paying for visitors who are interested in what you have to offer.

I wouldnt be a fan of buying traffice *except* for one reason only.

If you were to get a constant stream over a few months , you could increase your alexa rank ( if they had the tool bar installed..)

I dont hold much water to alexa rank but it could help you resell a site...

Its an added benefit to see a site with a good alexa rank even though it doesnt mean a lot ( because it can be cheated ..)

    Just my 2 cents!

I just read about 10 of the posts on this page, but I have used adwords with very minimal succsess, so I know how it goes. But the BEST advertising program I have found is AdBrite. You can advertise on there for about $0.05 per click. It is WAY cheaper than adwords and I think, just as effective, IF you use your targeted words and specify location, age, ethnicity, income, ect that you are trying to advertise towards.
