start new blog

    i bought new website but what should i do to make it live?this is default address http://username.bluehost.com .i want to install wordpress script

    Point your domain to the server were your blog is installed.
    Installing wordpress is simple to do just follow the instructions.

    If you would have gone with blogshoster.com they do it all for you.

    To point your domain to the server go to your registrar and set nameservers.
    Allso the link that you have suppled has no landing page and %99 of hosts will have a landing page even if you have not yet placed any site onto it.

    Is that link correct?

    i already bought hosting.now i have to set up ,install wordpress and upload theme.which section of dp is providing this service?

    Goto Fantastico Deluxe inYour Cpanel and there you can install it using some very easy steps.. no need to upload the script to the server and all..Everything can be done with a single Click.I hope that you have already changed the nameservers of your domain to that of your hosting account..If you still cant do it just pm me and i will do it for you for free.. :)

    i bought hosting at ipower.i think here they have provided auto install feature.in the script section they have given wordpress.after that they have provided get it button.what does this mean?

    It's a simple install.. just unzip wordpress install and edit the wp-config.sample to point your the database server/database name/username/password to your mysql database.

    Once done, just navigate to your site (site.com/wp-admin/install.php) and it will do the install for you. Also, you need to make root and wp-content folder writable for install.. just do this in your ftp program (set permissions). Make sure you set permissions back to what they were when done.
