They are apples and oranges. I think the pros here would say you need both for successful campaigns. I like both and use google referrals as well as ppc. I LOVE CJ when the product is $$$ and commission is high.
It really depends on the niche. I sold a few years ago some nice webhosting packages with CJ and now I try to sell soccer gear with lots of traffic and no success. On the other hand Adsense is a daily moneymaker but income is low.
I absolutely agree. --- I run both of them. I make more with Adsense (at least since eBay ditched CJ) - but my CJ sites are junk compared to my Adsense sites. It really depends on your traffic. Adsense works really well on some sites, and bombs on others. If you're prepared to write content and incorporate subtle text links, then give CJ a try. If you're able to design a site that works with Adsense, then do that. Or just do both and find out for yourself.
