I am having a strange situation. My Awstats shows but nothing is shown in the search keyphrases Awstats shows 677 hits for the jpg filetype but i cant figure out which are these images.. And no image search users are coming to my site..but my site is consuming a lot of bandwidth what is the reason for this and how do i know which all images are indexed in google?? How can i optimize the site so that the image search users do come to my site...
Is somebody hotlinking to one of your images? You'll be able to tell that in the full list 'Links from an external page'...
oh i have problem stoping google and yahoo bot from scanning my website and sending mass visitors to my website to eat my brandwidth.... everyday googlebot, yahoo slurp, msnbot, ask and many other spider scan my website and send visitors which result in running low on brandwidth... you not going to believe the keywords that bring these damn visitors to my website.... i huge list of keywords and phrases... this is only this month's info.. and google, yahoo and msn come to my website everyday.... but this time i use some special htaccess code to block search engine users that dont do anything good to me other then eating bw....
The search phrases from Google Image do not show up in the keywords lists of AWStats. I wrote an extra section that reports the keyphrases from Google Image. Check this other extra section:Hits on Images The screenshot shows that 62 users came to you site from Google Image. Extra section to detect the pages hotlinking to your images Go to Google Image Search and type site:www.your_site.com Show images that a lot of people would like to see and add related text around the images. Another way that you can find out about google image searches to your site is through google webmaster tools. Go to the Top Search Queries page and use the link at the bottom to download the huge f**k off file that will tell you, albeit in an unwieldy form.
