    Latest bit of news.....http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080604/ts_afp/myanmarcyclone_080604160655

This story is amazingly depressing. The entire article defines how a rogue villanous government in power is killing its own population.

The US aid ships leaving without delivering aid is a small part of the entire story.

--about 1/2 of estimated sufferers never receiving aid....it has been a month.
--6 expat emergency workers allowed in versus 300 when the tsunami hit...and that was after weeks
--the possibility that the flooded area won't be able to grow crops (rice) for lack of people and resources

There are many killer regimes in the world. This one ranks high.

Meanwhile the Chinese are taking extraordinary efforts it seems to work through the disaster of its earthquake and subsequent problems. I read what was an astonishing fact that Japanese soldiers are being brought in to assist with aid. Astonishing in view of long long term Chinese/Japanese animosity.

The situation in Burma/Myanmar is too sad.

Those scums wanted bribes to allow aid workers to go into their country. Can anyone be so callous I seriously wonder. It is a pity USA war ships are leaving. I certainly hope the war ships send the military junta a few cruise missiles.
